Doing The Thing with War & Peace
Hello, Sept. 11, 2011
Doing The Thing with War & Peace = Find the peace you have inside, cultivate it, share it, and the rest of the world will come with you on that path.
It is not about defeating the enemy "out there".
Let us first look at the enemy within ourselves; that part of us that either mildly doubts, or savagely tries to destroy us from the inside out.
This enemy looks like self-doubt, criticism, judgment, fear/insecurity, self-loathing, jealousy, rage. All this going on inside us creates the dis-ease we feel. It also creates the full blown diseases that we as a society tend to blame and seek destruction of.
Do you see the cycle happening?
Can we really expect Peace on Earth if we don't see it in ourselves?
Salvation lies in attempts to understand and care for ourselves for better and for worse.
As we grow in understanding ourselves, our view of the enemy may shift.
What I used to as my internal enemy (the self-sabotage part of me), I now see as my tough-love teacher.
No matter what race, country, politics or religion...We Are All One.
The more we accept this, the better life will get.
Start with you.
Peace,
Dana
